hello!

Hayden Collins is a Jacksonville-based experimental 2D visual artist. Born and raised in Florida, she earned her BA in Digital Art from Stetson University in 2024 and her MFA in Visual Fine Art at Jacksonville University. With a deep love for small independent publishing, she has a history of designing magazines, literary art publications, and teaching layout and graphic design.

Her thesis developed as a series of projects surrounding the subjects of girlhood, memory, identity, and chronic illness. incorporeal memories and the death of girlhood focused on the ephemeral nature of personal histories and the complexities of coming of age. In it’s current phase, i miss everyone i’ve never met serves as a ‘conclusion’, speaking more specifically to memory and grieving the living; who you once were, who others once were, and acceptance.

She enjoys opportunities to blend her digital art practice with traditional studio art mediums to create multimedia works. Constantly working to learn new mediums and explore the 2D in new ways, she’s always making new work about herself, current events, and pop culture interests.
